Refund Policy

14 days, no questions asked - and what happens to your data if you leave.

Last updated 8/13/2026

The short version

If you are not happy with a paid plan, write to us within 14 days of the payment and we will refund it. You do not have to explain why.

How to ask

Email legal@makermap.io from the address on the account, or from an address an owner of the organization can be reached at. Tell us which organization it is for. We will confirm within two working days.

The refund is issued by Paddle.com Market Ltd, who took the payment, and goes back to the card or account it came from. How long it takes to appear is up to your bank - usually a few days.

Renewals

The same 14 days apply to a renewal payment. If a renewal caught you by surprise and you have not used the plan in the new period, say so and we will refund it.

You can cancel at any time from the billing screen, and cancelling always takes effect at the END of the period you have already paid for. Nothing is prorated away and nothing is confiscated - you keep the paid plan until the day you paid up to.

Changing plan

An upgrade is charged immediately, prorated against your current period, and the amount is shown before you confirm.

A downgrade takes effect when the paid period ends, so you keep what you paid for until then. That is also why a downgrade is not previewed with a price: no charge happens at the time you ask for it.

What happens to your data

Nothing is deleted because you stopped paying. An organization that returns to the free plan keeps everything it created; what changes are the limits, not the contents. If you are over a free-plan limit, existing records stay and you are asked to archive rather than losing anything.

You can export a workspace whole, at any time, before or after.

Consumer rights

If you are a consumer in the EU or UK, you have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days. This policy gives you that as a matter of course rather than as an exception, and it does not take away any right the law gives you.
